Why this Huckabee must be stopped

There are two things that I really hate to discuss; politics and religion. When I see those conversations coming I usually get out of the way. People end up talking in circles because they will never change the other person's mind.

I'm also one who doesn't really get involved because it's hard for me to trust anyone in politics. But this is just too scary to ignore.

Everyone knows Huckabee just won in Iowa. And a big part of his victory is due to the evangelicals out there. Church and State? What?

Now if that doesn't scare you, here's a little dose of what these evangelicals are all about. This is Rachel. She's a brain washed little girl who has devoted her little self to the Lord. She's also loaded with pamplets and isn't afraid to use them.

Who knew Jesus could help with my bowling game?

This clip is from the documentary Jesus Camp. This camp prepares "God's army" to take back our country from the zealots. The camp leader, Becky Fischer, feels that if the Muslims can train their children to rise up and fight for their beliefs, Christians can too. OK.

One of the largest supporters is the New Life Church out of Colorado Springs. Here is Pastor Ted Haggard preaching to his followers and to our Jesus Campers... *pay close attention to his connection to the current White House*

Ted Haggard was the leader of this mega church. If you're not familiar with the name, here's a little refresher.

Oh my. WWJD????

Seeing as how the evangelicals helped us out so much with the current administration, perhaps we shouldn't let it happen again? Perhaps we also shouldn't let the father of a potential serial killer run our country? Just a thought.

The evangelicals are SO passionate about what they believe. And good for them. But no thank you for having their crazy pushed into politics. Creationism taught in schools? Sure, why not. Pledging allegiance to the Christian flag and the Bible. Sign me up. I just hope the Lord can be commanded to help run the country. Although I have a feeling he's pretty busy.

Be sure to vote!

:)

I feel sorry for that girl, but at the same time i am laughing my ass off. They preach to have an open heart, but very few of them have open minds.. Praise the internet, the cause of, and answer to, all lifes problems. (for the record i have nothing against religions that let their children make their own choices..) Brainwashing... horrible

That's crazy how people devote their lives to something like that!! I believe in faith and love and happiest!! I am happy just being free to chose how I want to live my life. But this!!! That's how the Nazis were back in the day, before WW2!! Crazy stuff!! Thanks God I don't live in the Midwest!

just watched jesus camp actually...when the little girl was talking about the missionaries chanting "martyr! martyr!" that was disturbing.

I don't think you can trust any of them. Guillani knows where bodies are buried, he has lots of help. Too bad he has that whole personal life to deal with. Clinton is dodgy, but at least she knows how this President gig works. With the damage that W did, whomever is elected has a lot of cleaning up to do. It's a shame Kucinich doesn't have the support he needs. Even though he gave the news outlets tons of sound bites with the whole UFO comment, I think he is one who cares about what the job of President really is about. But if there is anything the last TWO elections have shown, you can't really count on common sense or the appearance of who 'should/could' win. And anyone who has that much support from the evangelical Christians should cause concern. Religion has NO PLACE in politics.

You are worrying over the wrong person. Huckabee is hated by the Republicans because he is too liberal. He is for the Fair Tax which will abolish the IRS. If he was elected & brought in the fair tax the countries economy would be much better off. Your paychecks would be larger because the federal excise taxes would be abolished. The working poor would recieve a probate check every month. You should read up on the fair tax. Hillary is a worse nut job than Huck. Obama has no experience, besides it's rumored the Clinton campaign has some dirt on him that they plan to release concerning drugs. Look at how the stocks are already falling. We are trillions in debt to China & people want Obama & Hillary to run the country? Illegals are killing our economy, btw what did Bill Clinton do for this country? NADT. Bill has been running around with daddy Bush. That should tell you something. The man you better fear is Rudy G. Mr. WWIII He already said if elected he will increase troops in Afganastan. Fox News is pushing him to win. & you will probably see him rise to the top at Florida primary & super Tues. Alan Combs asked Rudy where will you get the troops. He figeted. I know! the draft. He is a person to really fear. Not the Bible pushers. Dennis Kucinich was the best choice for the Dems but he droped out.

i love discussing both politics and religion and anything else which pisses off the "fat part of the bell curve." huckabee is fucking scary. in fact, not that i have anything against the morbidly obese besides the fact they're a strain on the health care system, but they are so "typically american" and sooooo playing to the evangelical fuck-tards. i'm not fully convinced that the democrats will win, fyi. sad sad sad situation we have here.

Mike Huckabee is also a scab who crossed union lines to go on The Tonight Show. God love him. Cuz I sure don't.
