There are two things that I really hate to discuss; politics and religion. When I see those conversations coming I usually get out of the way. People end up talking in circles because they will never change the other person's mind.
I'm also one who doesn't really get involved because it's hard for me to trust anyone in politics. But this is just too scary to ignore.
Everyone knows Huckabee just won in Iowa. And a big part of his victory is due to the evangelicals out there. Church and State? What?
Now if that doesn't scare you, here's a little dose of what these evangelicals are all about. This is Rachel. She's a brain washed little girl who has devoted her little self to the Lord. She's also loaded with pamplets and isn't afraid to use them.
Who knew Jesus could help with my bowling game?
This clip is from the documentary Jesus Camp. This camp prepares "God's army" to take back our country from the zealots. The camp leader, Becky Fischer, feels that if the Muslims can train their children to rise up and fight for their beliefs, Christians can too. OK.
One of the largest supporters is the New Life Church out of Colorado Springs. Here is Pastor Ted Haggard preaching to his followers and to our Jesus Campers... *pay close attention to his connection to the current White House*
Ted Haggard was the leader of this mega church. If you're not familiar with the name, here's a little refresher.
Oh my. WWJD????
Seeing as how the evangelicals helped us out so much with the current administration, perhaps we shouldn't let it happen again? Perhaps we also shouldn't let the father of a potential serial killer run our country? Just a thought.
The evangelicals are SO passionate about what they believe. And good for them. But no thank you for having their crazy pushed into politics. Creationism taught in schools? Sure, why not. Pledging allegiance to the Christian flag and the Bible. Sign me up. I just hope the Lord can be commanded to help run the country. Although I have a feeling he's pretty busy.
